“Sing my hit song”: Semino Rossi surprises with song lyrics confession | Entertainment

In episode two of the Vox show “Sing meine Schlager” on Sunday evening, an artist was celebrated whose hits generations have grown up with: a music icon Marianne Rosenberg .

Singer Semino Rossi was among the colleagues who presented their classics on stage in a new look. He had armed himself against embarrassing text hang-ups. The hit star causes laughter right from the start of the show.

While everyone chats happily on the talk sofa, he listens intently. Moderator Inca Bause: “The Semino has become too quiet for me.” The musician, whose native language is Spanish, jokes: “I’m still waiting for the translation.”

He chose one of her newer numbers from Marianne Rosenberg’s repertoire, “Wann (Mr. 100%),” and wants to interpret the song in his own way. Semino Rossi: “I try to bring in these Latin American aspects. I think it will be a magical moment.”

His version not only makes Marianne Rosenberg melt. Semino Rossi turned the danceable song into an emotional ballad.

It’s just this little thing that probably hardly anyone notices in the show. After the performance, Semino confessed: “I had to use the teleprompter.” The pop star: “Learning lyrics is really difficult for me. I need at least a week without fun.”

However, that didn’t hurt the impact of his performance. “No Angels” singer Lucy Diakovska enthuses: “It’s hard to explain. Suddenly it was a completely different song.”

Also the performance of ESC legend Conchita Wurst gives you goosebumps. She sings Rosenberg’s evergreen “He belongs to me” from 1975, accompanied by the piano.

Conchita about her song selection: “It was such a mega hit that all the men were able to sing what they felt without having to come out or be afraid.” And with the highest praise to Marianne Rosenberg: “You did DU given to the queer German movement. For that I am forever grateful.”
