His Excellency Al Tayer was accompanied by Engineer Hussain Lootah, Executive Vice President – Power Transmission Division, Engineer Marwan bin Haider, Executive Vice President – Innovation and Future Division, Engineer Walid bin Salman, Executive Vice President – Department of Business Development and Excellence, and Loh Lathqim Hawat, Senior Consultant – Energy, Engineer Ghanem Al Qasim, Senior Manager – Solar Energy, and Engineer Humaid Al Hammadi, Senior Manager – Special Projects at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.
During the visit, His Excellency Al Tayer met Microsoft executives Rajmohan Rajagopalan, General Manager of M365 Copilot and Apps, and Ricardo Villalobos, Senior Director of Business Software Engineering.
Discussions focused on leveraging Microsoft’s artificial intelligence solutions to enhance an efficient and innovative work environment, as well as exploring artificial intelligence-powered smart building solutions, which is in line with DEWA’s commitment in terms of digital innovation and sustainable infrastructure.
At the beginning of this year, the Authority provided its employees with the smart assistants “Microsoft 365 Copilot” and “Microsoft Security Copilot”, becoming the first government agency in the United Arab Emirates to adopt this type of advanced technology from Microsoft.
According to the Authority, this is in line with its efforts to use innovation and the latest disruptive technologies to increase efficiency, productivity and quality.
His Excellency Al Tayer confirmed the Authority’s commitment to take advantage of the latest technologies to achieve its strategic goals of improving operational excellence, customer satisfaction and environmental sustainability.
