«I’m doing very hard chemo in which I feel terrible. That’s why I’m trying but today I’m fine.” Eleonora Giorgi with her children Andrea Rizzoli and Paolo Ciavarro connects from home to the Verissimo studio. «I can’t eat and I have to do it every day. My model day is to force myself to eat to feel better. My only daily commitment is to visit my nephew.” The actress’s battle against pancreatic cancer continues.

She never gave up and now seems like a serene woman. «Then in January there is an experimental drug but already tested and we hope – she doesn’t want to finish the sentence because her children are blocking her – to do it and everything and that it works. I am in a state of grace because I welcome everything that comes as an extra gift. Feeling good, I enjoy every moment.”

On his birthday last year he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. “It was the most glorious year for me and that cough came along which pushed me to have the CT scan which made me discover everything.” Andrea interrupts her and says: «We were lucky» and Giorgi adds: «because you can’t always cope with this pathology». And he adds affectionately: «Paola Marella herself didn’t make it». The TV star architect died last month after a battle with the same cancer as Giorgi.

A difficult moment for Paolo Ciavarro: «I have always been positive but on mum’s birthday she wasn’t well and I wasn’t able to be with her as I would have liked and therefore the next day I was sick, because I don’t want to miss even one ‘now with her”
