The Fair celebrated this Saturday winning, scoring and enjoying the only match of the competition in which neither a draw nor a defeat were optionsfacing just last place in the general table.
From the outset, Eduardo Berizzo surprised by making adjustments to provide rest to some of its elements. In this way, we saw the Ayón-Alvarado duo up front, with Ramírez reinforcing the midfield in place of Andrés Guardado. Although at first the team struggled from the middle to the front with these changes, the rival’s limitations and Estrada’s goal gave enough confidence to find a greater understanding as the game progressed.
Querétaro, for its part, is a very limited area that subsists thanks to what is sent to it from Tijuana. The highlight of the Gallos was their midfield with Federico Lertora and the veteran Pablo Barrera, who could do very little thanks to the Leonese order in that sector of the field. Defending poorly, with a hesitant goalkeeper and with a very poor attack in the form of Benedetto, the Queretaro team showed that their last place in the standings is not fortuitous.
Two things should be highlighted from the Leonese victory: Tadeo Estrada‘s first score with the emerald shirt, and the two free kick goals scored by Hernández and Guardadosomething that had not been seen in the León Stadium for a long time.
