The original flavors of Gallura are on TV.
The Gallura culinary tradition arrives on television, bringing with it the authentic flavors of Calangianus up to London. The second and final episode of is out Pasta Grannies dedicated to the small village of Gallura, this time starring the 85-year-old aunt Maddalena Sassuknown by all as Linuccia. In the new episode, Linuccia reveals the secrets of Gallura soupa dish traditionally served during weddings, which conquered the palate of the English crew.
The Pasta Grannies project, created by the English journalist Vicky Bennisonexplores and celebrates Italian gastronomic knowledge through the expert hands of Italian grandmothers. Each episode tells not just a recipe, but an entire culture, preserving the knowledge of elderly local cooks.
It had already been in June aunt Francesca Fresia 90-year-old from the area, Mrs. Chiara, to demonstrate the preparation of chjusoni with wild boar sauce, another traditional recipe loved in Gallura. These international appearances represent an important showcase for traditional Sardinian cuisine, giving new visibility to ancient recipes and cultural value that they guard.
Thanks to Pasta Grannies, the flavors and the traditions of Sardinia they are reaching a global audience, inviting them to discover and appreciate Italian food culture.
