President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo assured this Saturday that in congruence with the principles of the Fourth Transformation and Mexican humanism, she will enforce the citizens’ mandate that next year the judges, magistrates and ministers be elected by popular vote.
“So let it be heard well and heard far away, on June 1 of next year we are going to elect the judges, magistrates and ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation,” he declared when leading the presentation of the programs of Wellness in Rosarito Beaches, Baja California.
In a ceremony held at the Baja California Center convention center, Sheinbaum Pardo stated that “Mexican humanism gave Mexican men and women back their dignity. He gave the people of Mexico their dignity back. Because they made fun of us.”
“But now it is the opposite,” he said and reiterated that his function “is to give continuity to the transformation.”
“And that means governing with the same principles. For the good of all, first the poor. There can be no rich government with poor people. No corruption, no privileges. The ruler must live in the right middle class. And the principle of everything with the people, without the people. That is why, let it be heard well and heard far away, on June 1 of next year we are going to elect the magistrate judges and ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation,” he asserted.
“How are we going to be authoritarian if what we want is for the Judiciary to be elected by the people of Mexico and for corruption to end once and for all? May we have a court at the service of the people and the Nation. That is what Mexican men and women want,” he added.
“That is the mandate of the people and the President of the Republic is here to fulfill the mandate of the people and to serve the people of Mexico,” said the head of the Executive.
