“Renting offices is not a show of strength,” said SYRIZA MP Theodora Tzakri about yesterday’s opening of the new offices of Stefanos Kasselakis in Tavros. He pointed out that in case of re-election of Mr. Kasselakis, he does not intend to prosecute anyone.
“There was an introductory meeting with the friends and volunteers who registered on the website “odikosmassyriza” and it developed into a grand meeting. There were more than 1,500 people, the spaces in the offices are large. 25,000 volunteers have registered on the website. I didn’t go to Mr. Tsipras’ speech because I had responsibilities as secretary of the KO. We had a bill that ended at 11 o’clock at night. I would go if I could” he told MEGA.
“The Ethics committee of 9 present voted yesterday that yes the KE decides politically but the Congress is the final body to decide. The KE is a reporting body to the Congress. All the issues will be raised again at the Congress with 10% of the delegates” he said about the candidacy of Stefanos Kasselakis.
“The website of Mr. Kasselakis was his way of communicating, he does not have access to the information of SYRIZA anymore. Other candidates have been allocated spaces in Koumoundourou. The way to register in SYRIZA and participate in the procedures still remains the same. The site is in support of the candidacy of Mr. Kasselakis,” he said.
“He won’t fire anyone”
In the event of re-election of St. Kasselakis, will the instruments have effect? According to Mrs. Tzakri, “during the presidency of Mr. Kasselakis, the Organs worked many times. Referendums have also been held in the past. For major issues, it would not be bad to hold referendums, for example on energy. It is within the scope of our Constitution.”
“It is not a show of strength to rent offices for an election campaign, this is absolutely unfounded. If Kasselakis is elected, we will go to Koumoundourou. Mr. Kasselakis did not and will not expel anyone. He never excluded anyone,” he said.
He added: “The Conferences must answer the dilemma Democracy or bureaucracy. In the New Left, they are holding conferences at SEF and we are going to a night club? If the attendance is massive, this space does not secure a chair for each delegate, and it is also unsightly.”
“Mitsotakis’ behavior is anti-institutional”
Mrs. Tzakri called the departure of Kyriakos Mitsotakis “anti-institutional” when Nikos Pappas took the stage.
“Citizens are not surprised by Mitsotakis’ aversion to parliamentary institutions. For this reason, he has not debated the proposals we have brought about accuracy or taxation, and he does not even answer our topical questions. His behavior towards Mr. Pappas is anti-institutional,” he said.
“Neither do we like Mr. Mitsotakis, nor his life and politics, but we go to the Parliament. What happens in SYRIZA does not concern the ND. Mr. Samaras is more “patriotic”. He was justified in what he said with the spatial planning in the Aegean” he added.
