It was inaugurated at the hospital basins an area of over 770 m2 which houses the new one Cardiology Care Unitdedicated to the management of critical cardiac patients and 3 new clinics.
Designed with a modern concept, the new Bassini UCC is equipped with 6 beds, including an isolated bed, and has a system for modulating the pressure gradient depending on whether the patient is immunosuppressed and/or infected.
Particular attention was paid to the qualitative choice of all the individual technological and IT components to improve both the efficiency of care and the comfort of patients.
All the instruments and devices necessary for patient care are raised from the ground thanks to a system of hanging beams that can be completely configured quickly and precisely, depending on the clinical needs of the individual patient.
Any alarms, with specific severity hierarchies, can be immediately viewed at each station and simultaneously on a fully interactive console; thus professionals are informed at a glance about the situation in the department and of the patients, even via mobile devices.
UCC, digitized workstations
“Every station – he explained Simona Pierini, Director of ASST Nord Cardiology Milan – is digitalised and allows us healthcare workers to have real-time access to updated patient data, medical history, ongoing treatments, clinical tests and diagnoses, guaranteeing continuous and precise monitoring.
Thanks to the technological equipment, the health data of each individual patient, taken from the biomedical equipment, can be transmitted directly to the Electronic Medical Record.”
“Our ASST – he declared Thomas Russo, General Director of ASST Nord Milano – will be the second company in Lombardy to activate the regional Electronic Medical Record dedicated to high-intensity care departments.
Thanks to the skills of the professionals – continued Russo – and cutting-edge technological equipment, the Cardiology of the Bassini Hospital stands as a reference not only for the Northern Milan area but as a key player in the regional healthcare system for the management of critical cardiac patients. ”
