Valve has released the SteamOS 3.6.19 update for Steam Deck, which will solve several problems and improve the performance of the device. Among the many bugs that have been fixed are the frame rate not triggering correctly in some situations and a rare bug where audio could be distorted when loading. Now stability and overall performance are greatly improved.
One of the main improvements was support for microSD cards: the device is now more compatible with different cards, including solving an issue where some SanDisk cards were not recognized by the t -system. This update also optimizes future OS updates so they download faster.
For those who use the Steam Deck not only for gaming, but also for surfing the web, the update brought a nice bonus – increasing battery life by up to 10% in low load conditions . The Steam Deck OLED also gets new improvements, including support for Bluetooth drivers for Windows.
To install the update, just go to Settings, select System and click the check for updates button. If the update has already been downloaded automatically, it will be available to install when you are online.
