As of 9:00 a.m., voter turnout in the country was 3.7%, the Gallup International Balkan agency reports.
Compared to the elections in June, the voter turnout at this time is slightly lower, Petko Petkov, executive director of Gallup International Balkan, told BNR.
In these hours, the activity is not a certificate, in the late afternoon the dynamics of the voter turnout compared to previous elections can be seen, he clarified.
Voter turnout moves differently in different regions and cities. In smaller towns, more people vote until noon, and in big cities, voting can be combined with a family outing, noted Petkov.
“The good weather can “break out” in both directions. We will see very clearly during the day,” he said.
It is interesting both sociologically and psychologically how some people go early in the morning to cast a negative vote with “I do not support anyone”, Petko Petkov also pointed out and called for this phenomenon to be investigated.
Boredom is related to anger. Boredom in this election campaign is the reason why people feel angry, the sociologist believes.
“No one can say where that average angry voter will go,” he added.
Petkov also commented on the problem of “amateurism, which is ubiquitous in our electoral administration”, which, in his words, is becoming weaker and weaker, which also affects distrust in the electoral process.
