SPOKANE, Wash. – Portland women’s tennis will compete for three titles Sunday at the Gonzaga Invitational. Sally Pethybridge will go for the top flight singles title, Meagan Pearson is in the finals of the Red Singles Draw, while Pearson and Nadine Arbaizar Martinez go for the doubles title in the Red Draw as well.
Pethybridge won a pair of straight set matches on Saturday against Marta Garcia-Reboredo of Montana State and Safien Boulonois of Gonzaga to punch her ticket. She will face Gonzaga’s Emily Robertson at 9:30 a.m.
Pearson defeated Gonzaga’s Lia Espinal and Portland State’s Scarlett Perkins in straight sets of her draw. She takes on another Bulldog in Brooke Bittner for the title Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Pearson and Arbaizar Martinez cruised to a 6-2 win against a tandem from Portland State on Saturday and meet a pair from Utah State in Sunday’s final at 8:30 a.m.
