The Financial Police of Frattamaggiore intercepted, at a shipping center in Casoriaa package coming from Polandinside which they were kept 21 car license plates of Polish nationality, 14 registration documents and 6 sales contractsintended for a person residing in Napoliowner of a car handling agency. From the investigative developments it emerged that the agency, making use of a Polish company, which closed in 2020, arranged for foreign license plates to be sent to be affixed to identified vehicles, which were previously canceled from the Italian Public Automotive Registry – “Pra” and , subsequently, despite never having left Italian territory, they became the subject of a simulated registration in Poland.
The operation it was a ploy to evade paying car taxes and obtain undue savings on the compulsory insurance rate, which in Naples is the highest in Italy, as well to evade any sanctions for violations of the highway code paid by the driver. At the end of the activity, the material and documentation were seized and the person responsible was reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Naples North for fraud and receiving stolen goods.
