On Saturday morning, the municipal theater of Soverato hosted the second edition of the conference “Lombosciatica: from diagnosis to treatment”, an event organized by the Rehabilitation Center “Biokinetic”, founded by Dr. Pierluigi Galati. The conference saw the participation of a qualified audience, including doctors, university students and other healthcare professionals, and was characterized by a program full of scientific content, divided into two sessions
The event, now in its second edition, is proposed as a unique training opportunity, offering a multidisciplinary overview of the treatment of lumbosciatica, a painful and disabling pathology that affects numerous individuals, with a significant impact on the quality of life. During the conference, doctors and health professionals discussed various aspects of this pathology, exploring not only the diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, but also the role of nutrition, psychology and posturology in pain management
The day was divided into a series of scientific interventions which saw alternating experts from different specializations: physiatrists, dieticians, family doctors, osteopaths, all sharing the objective of promoting integrated and innovative therapeutic approaches for the treatment of low back pain. This multidisciplinary approach has been underlined as essential for taking full charge of the patient, which can take into account the multiple facets of the pathology.
The participation of the experts allowed those present to acquire skills both in early diagnosis and in pharmacological and rehabilitation treatments, with particular attention also to prevention. In this context, the importance of postural education and the promotion of healthy and active lifestyles was reiterated, key elements to counteract the onset and worsening of low back pain.
The scientific direction of the conference was entrusted to Prof. Antonio Ammendolia et al Dr. Pierluigi Galatiwho, together with the other speakers, were able to make complex contents accessible, ensuring clear and immediate communication.
