Feynman and/or facts – Stop the madness

As for BNR, the chairman of the asylum lawyers was again allowed to blow with an old-fashioned picture of asylum law, that we only treat everyone. sing welcomed with open arms. He was not asked a single critical question. No questions were asked about Belgium, for example thirteen months it does not take place for single men. The EU knows big differences in asylum policy, it is not discussed.

How this works best can be seen in Maastricht Bureau. A drunk and snoring asylum seeker breaks down AZC, the other asylum seekers have fled. They are standing next to the police, who will not enter, because this unwanted knife puller would have protection in the “home”. We allow people to walk all over us thus disrespecting ourselves and the refugees of war.

The misery doesn’t stop there. Another rejected asylum seeker tries to end his life, he is put in a cell, where he smears the cell, himself, the door window and the cameras with his feces. He is moved to a clean cuddle cell with his hands in place rest straps. Then he tries to break his head, and after that he will be completely calm.

About six police officers spend half a day working with him. At least, that’s the visually documented part. They suspect that the rejected asylum seeker is doing this to hinder his transfer. Consent must be requested for each procedure and everything must be typed. The police officers write his bibliography afterwards and are belittled and humiliated as a result.

Our asylum system has resources for rejected asylum seekers or other criminals barely effective effects. It is not possible to leave them inside for a long time pre-trial detention to be taken, to be admitted to a closed institution for their own or our safety, to be punished for their crimes or to cancel. We let the asylum workers, shopkeepers and police mop with the tap open.

The episode started with a cheesehead who embarked on a crazy life-threatening journey to get arrested, he saw the officers let out. This suspicion came not coming back in the session. He does, he goes and goes. He lives there complete freedom. The judge will be responsible for the results of his pursuit of the officers, not the suspects.

This is a bit of naive wishful thinking on the part of the court. The judge weighs the actions of the officers against the crimes that were known before the pursuit. We must always accept the best. The court first creates a mirage. Lady Justice forgets that people usually escape for a reason, and as a result we give a wide berth to criminals and psychological patients.

The officers let the dangerous lunatic go and went to speak to the holder of the license plate. It turned out to be the suspect’s grandfather. The driver of the scooter turned out to be a grandson with serious mental problems. Here, officers approach an elderly powerless couple. That does not work, they are waiting for help and we have not agreed on such things.

The scooter driver is a danger to himself and those around him while they are running. Thanks to his serious mental problems, he is also a danger to himself and those around him before and after the chase. He belongs inside while waiting for treatment, if necessary for years. Our careless laissez-faire attitude is deeply confusing informal carerspolice and cheap.

In the assessments of detention and emergency admissions, we have a tunnel vision of the impact on criminals, drug addicts and other psychiatric patients. We forget the family, cheap and the rest of society. They all benefit from being temporarily freed from the constant stream of violations of their freedom, which the politicians, the police and the judges have no control over.

We have built a rule of law where misconduct is rewarded. Where problems discussed by increasingly large groups of academically trained people, without translation back to the workplace to intervene and prevent unwanted behaviour. We are particularly critical of police officers who physically protect us from psychiatric patients.

It’s time to put the onus for de-escalation back where it belongs. It doesn’t belong to the family or the police, it belongs to the person who committed the crime. Even if the perpetrator has mental problems, that’s not a free pass for your family or neighbors for years to make life miserable. Anyone who commits a crime on a regular basis should be arrested as a preventive measure. That gives everyone peace of mind.

Your freedom begins where antisocial freedom ends.
