KTM today introduced its latest flagship adventure motorcycle, the 2025 1390 Super Adventure S, setting new standards in the adventure sports segment. The new model offers a wide range of technological and mechanical updates that reaffirm the Austrian brand’s position at the forefront of motorcycle innovation.
At the heart of this new machine is an enlarged 1,350cc engine that produces an impressive 173 HP at 9,500 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. One of the main innovations is the introduction of CAMSHIFT technology, a variable valve timing system that uses two different cam profiles and optimizes performance at low and high speeds.
The new Super Adventure S maintains the brand’s tradition by offering a manual transmission with a standard clutch, a feature particularly appreciated by purists. The frame has been redesigned for greater rigidity, improving stability in all conditions, supported by an optimized riding position with footpegs set 8mm lower and 10mm wider.
In terms of suspension, the motorcycle is equipped with WP’s latest semi-active system, which integrates new PWM sensors and an innovative through-tube fork design that provides a more precise behavior, especially at frequencies higher.
On-board technology has also made significant progress with the introduction of the direct V80 TFT touchscreen dashboard, equipped with an anti-glare and anti-fingerprint coating, maintaining functionality even with winter gloves . Optional equipment includes the fifth generation of the front radar system, which includes brake support as well as collision and speed warnings.
The stylish update hasn’t been forgotten, with new bodywork, redesigned headlights and an updated windscreen, as well as more storage space. Sales are expected in early 2025.
