The 14-game Saturday series is highlighted by four Hockey Night in Canada games and two nationally televised matinees on Sportsnet.

  • Sidney Crosby and the Penguins finish their Western Canadian tour at Rogers Arena against Quinn Hughes and the Canucks. Crosby scored the “golden goal” at the stadium during the 2010 Winter Olympics and recently appeared on the show NHL Coast to Coast to talk about the possibility of representing Canada again at the next Face-Off of the 4 nations in February, where Hughes will also skate for the United States.
  • William Nylander and the Maple Leafs will face David Pastrnak and the Bruins for their first meeting since Game 7 of the 2024 first round, where Nylander scored a goal in the third period before Pastrnak scored the decisive goal at 1:54 of overtime. Boston has won each of its last seven regular season meetings against Toronto since January 14, 2023 (TOR: 0-4-3) and can tie the longest winning streak in the league. ‘one or the other team in the almost century-old history of the rivalry, a mark established by the Bruins from October 20, 2011 to March 7, 2013 (8 GP).
  • Philip Broberg and the Blues continue their road trip by facing Nick Suzuki and the Canadiens, who can end a four-game series (0-3-1). Broberg (2-5-7 in 8 games) opened the scoring in St-Louis’ victory against Toronto on Thursday and can become the fastest defenseman to record 10 career points with the Blues, surpassing the Sept-Îles native Steve Duchesne who reached double figures in his 10th game on February 12, 1994 (3-7-10 in 10 games).
  • Kyle Connor and the Jets can extend their record-breaking early-season winning streak to eight games when they face Jonathan Huberdeau and the Flames. Winnipeg and Calgary are the last two perfect teams in the NHL, with the Flames suffering their first loss on October 19, hours after the Lightning’s first loss. Connor (5-3-8 in 7 games) has found the net in every game of the Jets’ seven-game series, which is now just three points away from tying the NHL record for most long series of victories at the start of the campaign.
  • Patrick Kane and the Red Wings put their winning streak on the line against Rasmus Dahlin and the Sabres, who are 3-1-1 in their last five games. Kane was born in Buffalo nearly 36 years ago and can become the oldest player in NHL history with the winning goal in three straight games, eclipsing the Kings forward Ralph Backstrom who was 35 years and 50 days old at the end of his series from November 2 to 7, 1972.
  • Trevor Lewisof the Kings, will play his first career game against the Utah Hockey Club, which holds a record of 4-3-1 after eight games since it began playing in its hometown of Salt Lake City. Lewis (99-128-227 in 982 games) is one of five Utah-born players in NHL history (4 skaters and 1 goalie) and is one goal short of becoming second in scoring of 100 goals in this group, after Steve Konowalchuk (171).
