Actor Mārtiņš Upenieks: Finding someone to hook up with quickly is not a skill at all

Upenieks is reluctant to talk about his private life. After the first appearance in the romantic comedy “How to start again”, he rarely appeared a little more.

The actor shared his views that fast dates and one-night stands are becoming increasingly popular, but their spiritual value is no longer appreciated. Upenieks believes that the idea, as we see relationships today, clearly indicates the maturity of the society. Mārtiņš definitely prefers a long-term relationship, because he believes that changing different partners in a short time is not the right path that someone should choose.

“Maintaining long-term relationships is an art. Finding someone to engage quickly is not a skill at all,” says Mārtiņš.

He does not hide that he receives letters from fans. He also tends to respond, but carefully examines to whom and why. As Upenieks says: “I know it may not seem like it from the outside, but in reality I’m a bit shy. To get to know each other, I won’t be the first who write on the Internet.”

Upeniek prefers to get to know a woman in an authentic environment.
