Ruth Vandenberghe’s call to negotiate with N-VA came only after almost two weeks of talks between TBSK, N-VA and Vooruit. With TBSK as the biggest party – which is unbelievable in Kortrijk at least – and therefore over two weeks.
Axel Ronse, leader of the Kortrijk N-VA party, himself explains how the negotiations have gone so far: “We (N-VA) were the strongest grower on October 13 with doubling . Shortly after the elections we quickly felt that TBSK had organized a bidding war between Vooruit and us.
“Discussions last Sunday with Maxim Veys from Vooruit – who had the same feeling – gave us the vision to implement our program and put more pressure on the coalition. That is why we have been asking TBSK since Monday for the 3-party route. Keep asking that seriously.
“For us, only one thing is important: to realize our program as much as we can. People can judge us once a real administrative agreement is agreed on the table.”
