As it is known, MP Kadiev, who ran for mayor of Sofia for the third time, was unanimously excluded from the BSP parliamentary group earlier today.

“And the last question that is good to clear up – what will I do if we lose? I hope you at least believe me in what I say – I categorically state that I will not run as an independent or as a candidate of another political force , and I will wish success to the candidate for mayor, whoever he is. I will help him or her, of course, if he does not ask. Because I still consider that I have some mission in the BSP and this mission is to change something. And it does not depend on today’s election – whether I will be a candidate for mayor or not”.
“This “principled” and “consistent” person Georgi Kadiev turned like a baker’s shovel in just 48 days, comments Kaloyan Pargov. – “The only prepared alternative for Sofia” announced from the rostrum of the BSP City Conference that he will not run for mayor neither as an independent nor on behalf of another political force! This happened on July 25th and all the delegates of the BSP-Sofia City Conference heard it. Exactly 45 days later – on September 8th, he announced that is running for mayor of Sofia, and today he has declared himself the “only prepared alternative”.
Kaloyan Pargov admitted that what happened to Georgi Kadiev was extremely unpleasant for the BSP. “I take it as a stab in the back, not as help to oust Yordanka Fandakova from the mayor’s chair, said the leader of the capital’s socialists. – Kadiev will play in an arranged match.
