PolewaliTerkini.Net – POLMAN – Several members of the Polewali Mandar Regency DPRD were disappointed that the Regency Government raised a DBD Special Event (KLB) in Ambo Padang Village, Tubbi Taramanu District.

Although it is acknowledged that this increase in the outbreak of dengue fever 120 residents of Ambo Padang Village, who were reported to have contracted Dengue Fever (DBD). However, his condition is normal, no death occurred.

“Elevating treatment to a Special Event (KLB), this could be harmful to patients as the treatment was previously covered by the government (BPJS and UHC). However, after the revolution it automatically came out of the Government’s responsibility.” Deputy Chairman 1 of DPRD Polman Amiruddin, SH said in the Hearing Meeting (RDP). Friday, 26/10/2024 in the desire room of Polman DPRD.

Amiruddin even asked several questions to the Government of Polman Regency, especially to the Health Service, Acting Regional Secretary, Assistant One and the Acting Polman Regency Regional Disaster Management Group.

Among the questions raised was why the dengue fever that hit the residents of Ambo Padang Village was used as a Special Event (KLB) while they were in a normal state.

“Maybe, this is until we get a budget of more than Rp. 200 million to deal with residents affected by dengue fever.” Amiruddin said in RDP.

Amiruddin also regretted that the Polman Provincial Government did not inform the DPRD about the tragedy that struck the residents of Ambo Padang Village.

“Why doesn’t the regional government inform the DPRD, so we can work together to treat the residents there.” said Amiruddin.

Polman DPRD Chairman, Fahry Padly, asked the same thing about money worth Rp. The more than 200 million in the budget for the treatment of residents with dengue fever is used for any purpose.

According to him, when he visited there recently, there were no residents in office, but earlier Mr. Kalaksa BPBD, Head of the Health Office and Head of Finance said that Rp. “More than 200 million includes funding for officers at the positions and officers in the field,” said Fahry.

He hopes that the regional government of Polman, especially the related departments, will budget Rp. The more than 200 million was used as much as possible for residents who had dengue fever.

“Money should not be given to postal officers and officers working in the field, but also to public kitchens. Harap Fahri has fallen.

Deputy Chairman 1 of Polman DPRD Amiruddin said, regarding the dengue disease that hit the residents of Ambo Padang Village, it would be better for the Polman district government to think carefully before treating dengue fever as a Special Event.

The reason is that the residents of Ambo Padang Village who were exposed to moderate dengue fever, it has been confirmed so far that only 2 people have been sent to the general hospital and 16 people have been treated at the community health center out of 120 people who have contracted dengue fever, according to data submitted by the Department of Health.

“According to the data submitted by the Department of Health earlier in the RDP, there is no need to upgrade the status to exceptional activity, because it is normal, this could be harmful to local residents, because previously the treatment was covered by BPJS and UHC, but since the treatment in the KLB goes through to the public, this needs to be reviewed again.” Close Amiruddin.
