This time, I covered Tatsuro Yamashita’s “Atom no Ko,” and it’s a song that I have a lot of fond memories of.It was an insert song in a movie that I really liked when I was young, and when I heard about Newtro this time, I remembered this song and thought I’d like to cover it, so I chose it.
The original song had an image of the freshness and sadness of the summer sea, and in order to express that in my own way, I arranged it with my own style of tropical house music in mind.
I felt that the original song had an impressive percussion sound throughout the song, so I tried to express the percussion part entirely with synth sounds.
I would like you to listen to it and compare it with the original song.

“Ultrasonic warning. Along with transparency. ”
Focusing on vocals, I am involved in various creator activities on SNS. He started playing classical piano at the age of 3, and gradually turned to pop music.

The atmosphere of the original song is completely different, and the use of fantastic sounds is very Newtro-like, and I felt like the current era of Astro Boy.
I also think that listening to the respect for the original song sprinkled throughout the song is nostalgic and fun, which is the key point.
I was particular about creating it without adding too much color to match Torque’s futuristic sound.
I also felt the youth’s refreshing strength in the song, so I was conscious of expressing that through my voice as I sang it.

I filled the screen with images that came to mind from the lyrics and music sounds of Atom no Ko. I kept the retro pop colors in mind, expressing a somewhat nostalgic yet modern futuristic feel, and the girl’s expression was drawn to be overflowing with “hope for the future,” so be sure to check it out. I would appreciate it if you could give it to me.
