OJK withdraws investor license, Fintech Association opens voice

The Indonesian Fintech Funding Association (AFPI) appreciates the decision of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to revoke the business license of PT Investree Radhika Jaya. AFPI sees this decision as a form of OJK’s commitment to maintain stability and trust in the fintech lending industry.

AFPI General Chairman Entjik S. Djafar said the revocation of Investree’s business license was a form of collaboration to create a fintech lending industry that is healthy, has integrity, is helpful and protects the community and customers -use.

He said the OJK emphasized that Investree had real violations, not the industry. Through OJK’s strong action, AFPI believes that this will further strengthen investors’ confidence in the fintech lending industry.

“We hope this decision will increase investor confidence in the fintech industry as a whole. AFPI is committed to encouraging all its members to provide the best service and maintain the security of client funds,” Entjik said in a written statement, Thursday (24/10/2024).

AFPI is committed to continuing to remind all members to be obedient in conducting company management in an appropriate and responsible manner. One of them is through holding discussion forums such as Compliance Talk and Brainwave.

AFPI also continues to monitor all its members to ensure that each member carries out business activities in accordance with relevant regulations, starting from aspects of governance, risk management and compliance with relevant regulations, and enforces the AFPI Code of Conduct in a disciplined manner.

This includes providing the best service to consumers, both lenders and borrowers.
