(ANSA) – PALERMO, OCTOBER 22 – On November 13th, before the investigating judge of Termini Imerese, the outcome of the psychiatric evaluation ordered on Giovanni Barreca, the man accused of having killed, together with his 17-year-old daughter and a couple of friends, Massimo Carandente and Sabrina Fina, in Altavilla Milicia, his wife Antonella Salamone and their two sons Kevin and Emanuel aged 16 and 5 at the height of a crazy ritual that was supposed to free the family from an alleged demonic possession. The expert opinion was requested by the Prosecutor’s Office and by Barreca’s lawyer, Giovanni Barracato. A week earlier, on November 7, the investigating judge Nicola Aiello, who is trying the girl, could order a psychiatric evaluation on the young suspect. In recent days the Ris carabinieri returned to the house where the massacre took place to carry out new investigations. The photos, taken by the military, show the fireplace utensils and pans used to torture the victims. Also in the images are the religious writings on the walls made by the minor daughter. “I made the inscriptions – the girl told the investigators – Massimo and Sabrina had told my father and my father told me, this happened before everything happened. They had said that it would be important to read them”. (HANDLE).
