At the ebm-papst trade fair stand at SPS in Hall 1 Stand 1-324, the company is presenting smart and innovative approaches to ventilation and drive technology. In Nuremberg, Ebm-papst will focus on its solutions for control cabinet and electronics cooling, as well as industrial drive technology and automation. An emphasis is placed on decentralized drive solutions.
When it comes to coordinating numerous smaller drives in a system, decentralized drive solutions with electronics integrated into the motor housing have become established in practice. The BLDC internal rotor drives of the ECI-80 motors with an output power of up to 720 watts are now equipped with K5 electronics. In addition to being controlled using I/Os or CANopen, the drives can also be addressed via EtherCAT. EtherCAT (Ethernet for Control Automation Technology) combines the advantages of Ethernet with the simplicity of classic fieldbus systems. As one of the fastest Industrial Ethernet technologies, it is ideal for use in decentralized, intelligent drives. From the perspective of functional safety, STO (Safe Torque Off) is optionally available.
