Slovakian striker Martin Pospišil He’s had a great start to the season, but in recent games he hasn’t been performing like we’re used to, and it all came to a head in the Calgary game against Pittsburgh Tuesday.

The 24-year-old Zvolen had a difficult first period of the game against the Penguins, and things didn’t get any better for him in the second. After committing the second pointless cheat of the match, the opponent managed to equalize.

At that time, head coach Ryan Huska felt that Pospíšil needed to get a message. And so he decided not to use Slovakia for the rest of the second period. For more than 13 minutes, player number 76 just sat on the bench for a penalty.

“Pospišil has had a good start to the season, but it was difficult for him tonight. Sluggish complacency led to a Penguins power play goal. Since then, Pospíšil has not been on the ice,” said Colton Pankiw.

“Martin Pospíšil ended up sitting out the final 13+ minutes of the second period after his second sack in the offensive zone led to the Penguins’ goal on that power play. Darren Haynes noted.

In the third period, Pospíšil returned to the action and finally played 10 minutes and 22 seconds in a 4:3 victory after a raid. The score failed, so after a three-game point streak, he is now on a three-game drought.
