SING ALONG: “JAUCHZET FRUCHLOCKET!”
“Jauchzet rejoice!” This is how the choirs sing Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio every year in the churches of Hamburg and all over the world.
But how much more fun is it to not only listen to a concert but also sing along in a choir? Would you like to be actively involved yourself? Then this event is the right place for you – come with your whole family! Under the experienced leadership of Jens Bauditz and with the support of his New Boys’ Choir Hamburg you can sing along with all the chorales – as was intended in Bach’s time. And with a little (more) experience or preliminary practice, the large choirs such as the opening choir “Jauchzet Frolocket” or “Herrscher des Himmels” (No. 24) can also be successful. Selected arias are presented by singers from the Cornelia Salje and Kristina Hansen classes, and the orchestral part is taken over by them Young string players Hamburgsupplemented by timpani and wind soloists from various instrumental classes, arranged by Antonio Fernandez Hernandez.
