One person has been killed and 15 others injured in a train collision in Wales. reports Sky News channel citing police data.
The accident occurred near the village of Llanbrynmare. The victims were taken to nearby hospitals, their injuries are not life-threatening.
Traffic in the area where the accident occurred was blocked. Passengers on the colliding trains were evacuated. Rescuers, doctors, police are working at the scene, and a helicopter was also sent there.
The head of the Welsh government, Eluned Morgan, took to the social network X (Twiter) to ask emergency services to keep her informed of the investigation.
20 people injured in train collision in Egypt
In mid-October, two trains collided in the Egyptian province of Minya. The locomotive of one of them crashed into the tail of a passenger train that was heading to Cairo. After the collision, two carriages ended up in the river; passengers were helped to get out by people in boats.
As a result, at least 20 people were injured. Most of them received abrasions and bruises. 23 ambulances were at the scene of the accident.
