RiauKepri.com, MERANTI – West Rangsang Police, Meranti Islands Police has contributed to the success of the National Polio Immunization Week (PIN) in 2024.
Support was shown by the West Rangsang Police by deploying several staff to participate in the research for the completion of Polio PIN targets together with health workers (Nakes) of Setatah Child Health Center UPT, West Rangsang sub-district .
As done on Monday (21/10/2024), a sweep of children who had not taken the Polio PIN was carried out together with health workers at the Setatah Children’s Health Center and village officials throughout the West Rangsang District.
West Rangsang Police Chief, Inspector Roly Irvan SH., MH, said that this final sweep was to increase the implementation of PIN Polio in 12 villages in West Rangsang District.
The workers involved are: Bhabinkamtibmas of Bokor and Sungai Cina Villages, Aipda Ashobirin, Bhabinkamtibmas of Lemang and Segomeng Villages, Aipda Joni Hendra, Bhabinkamtibmas of Melai and Mekar Baru Villages, Bripka Riki Masri.
Then, bhabinkamtibmas from Sialang Pasung and Anak Setatah Villages, Bripka FL Gultom, Bhabinkamtibmas of Permai and Bantar Villages, Brigadier Niko H Manurung, Bhabinkamtibmas of Bina Maju and Telaga Baru Villages, Brigadier Harianto.
“The target is children aged 0-7 years who have not received the Polio vaccine. “This activity aims to increase the achievement of PIN Polio in West Rangsang District, which is still at 68.8 percent with the national target set by the government, which is 95 percent,” said Roly Irvan.
Roly said that the West Rangsang Police fully supports the Polio PIN which is part of efforts to deal with the outbreak of Polio, especially in the West Rangsang District.
“This activity is a form of collaboration between the West Rangsang Police and the Setatah Child Health Center in the field of public health by screening children aged 0-7 years in the West Rangsang area to receive Polio vaccination to ensure from the smoothness and success of the vaccination operation,” he explained.
Roly Irvan said that the West Rangsang Police is also committed to supporting Polio vaccination activities to protect the younger generation from the risk of disease. With this collaboration, it is hoped that it will contribute significantly to ensure the success of the vaccination program in the West Rangsang area.
“With this activity, it is hoped that we can increase vaccination coverage in the West Rangsang area, so that people are better protected from Polio disease. “Furthermore, it is also hoped that it will be an encouragement to the community in supporting the comprehensive vaccination program,” concluded Roly Irvan.
