Currently, most of the Chinese citizens residing in Sudan have been evacuated in groups, in an organized and safe manner, to border ports or neighboring countries.
Since April 23, groups of Chinese citizens have been evacuated from Sudan to Ethiopia, with some of them returning to China from the capital Addis Ababa. The evacuees said the Chinese embassy is in close contact with them and is making every effort to ensure their safety.
According to information from the Consular Protection Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, over 1,300 Chinese citizens have been evacuated from Sudan. In addition, the Chinese side is also assisting in the withdrawal of foreign nationals, having so far assisted residents of five countries to leave Sudan on Chinese ships.
