Musicians Antra Stafecka and Ingars Viļums delight the audience with a new song “Krustiem un līkumiem”, which is part of their upcoming album “Manas zemes sirds”. The album will be released in March 2025 and promises to be emotionally saturated, dedicated to Latvian nature, people and our ways of life. Along with the release of the album, a concert tour is also being planned, which will allow listeners to enjoy the new songs and their favorite songs from the artists’ previous projects.
The album “Manas zemes sidrs” will also include songs already known and loved by the audience – “Dzīparos”, “Dziļumā”, “Es meitiņa kā smildziņa” and “Baltu įviņi nadživat”.
“Thinking, talking and now also writing about the basic values of life has become my daily routine. I believe that everyone has had a moment in the most hidden corners of the mind that made them think about life, its course, its meaning and what it means in it. long ago and handed down to us from generation to generation for a short time in the “modern” world to listen to the unchanging truth of life,” says Ingars Viļums.
Antra Stafecka says about the successful collaboration: “The folk song has united both of us. It’s as if everything was said so clearly and so simply in one quartet. But if you listen, you can swim in the emotions of the universe. How many codes are hidden in it, we can’t even understand, we can only feel and understand. We have a lot of inspiration. to draw from the folk songs created by our ancestors and great writers to create our own quatrains, our own stories”.
Celebrating the release of the album, Antra Stafecka and Ingars Viļums invite you to emotional concerts in many places in Latvia, where you will hear both the new compositions and your favorite songs from projects of the previous years of both artists.
The first concert “Heart of My Land” is planned for March 25 in Riga, VEF Culture Palace, and the musical friends Antra Stafeckas – the band “Jumprava”, Uldis Marhilēvičs, Ivo Grīsniņš-Grīslis, Atis Ieviņš , Andris Ārglis, Mārtiš Kanters, Jānis Čubars and many other musicians. After that, the concerts will be held on March 28 in Vidzeme concert hall “Cēsis”, on March 30 in Jelgava Culture House, on April 4 in Ogre Culture Center, on April 5 in Liepāja OC Rose Hall , and on April 11 in the Valmiera Cultural Center. The new song “Crosses and Bends” reveals the difficulties and beauty of life’s path, and invites listeners to understand the importance of understanding one’s identity and loving one’s native land.
