Recently, the town of Cabanac-et-Villagrains, in Gironde, inaugurated several projects: the gare of Cabanac as well as a carpool area. Two developments which were in the tablets of the previous municipality and then taken in hand by the current mayor, Jean-Georges Clair.
“My first outing as mayor was to go see Bernard Fath (departmental councilor) for this carpooling area project,” relates Jean-Georges Clair. This aims to decrease the flow of vehicles towards Bordeaux and simplify transportation for village residents. Furthermore, it is widely vegetated.
The renovated station, a place of entertainment
We have created a place to bring local life to life, it has nothing to do with a village hall. The goal is that everyone can use it.

Thus, the renovation of the station was accompanied by a call for projects. To date, 24 projects have been received. The objective is to create a regulationoccupation of the place and to structure a schedule to make room for everyone.

These projects will be followed by numerous others, already announced by Jean-Georges Clair and some well underway: the work for the crossing the townthe renovation of the post office “closed for years”, the construction site city stade “is already signed and will start soon”, a electrical terminalIt will be installed within the village. The agenda looks busy in Cabanac.
