Caritas in Jerusalem says they are in the second phase of delivering polio vaccines to children in the Gaza Strip. Caritas has announced that it is at the forefront of efforts to get polio vaccines for children in the Gaza Strip, where normal life has been made impossible by the ongoing conflict in the region for more than a year.
Recently in the Gaza Strip, the organization said that its clinics in Deir al-Balah district played a major role in providing WHO-directed polio vaccines to children under the age of ten. .
Caritas said that in the last few days alone, more than 2,300 children have received polio vaccines with the World Health Organization through their centers. The Jerusalem Caritas group explained that, in addition to polio vaccines, vitamins A and E were also given to the children. The next medical campaign to give polio vaccines will be held in Al Birkay from October 19 to 24.
In a statement released on October 18, Caritas in Jerusalem is working with the World Health Organization to ensure the health care of the community, including children in Gaza, and to improve their lives.
