Kugel believed that Sinwar died on Wednesday afternoon (16/10), more than 24 hours before his body was taken to a forensic institute for examination. A spokesman for the Israel Defense Force (IDF) said that Sinwar died after being involved in fire The fighting ended after Israeli soldiers opened fire on the building where Sinwar was located.
