First, Truls Möregårdh and Anton Källberg qualified for the semi-finals and thus received Sweden’s European Championship medal in doubles in Austria. Moments later, Kristian Karlsson and Mattias Falck did the same.
Möregårdh/Källberg beat Poland’s Maciej Kubik and Milosz Redzimski 3–1 in straight sets in the quarter-finals and Karlsson/Falck beat Germany’s Benedikt Duda and Qiu Dang in a tiebreaker to the decisive fifth set.
Furthermore, Sweden’s final place is secure, as the Swedish teams meet in the semi-finals.
– We get to send them some psychs, says Kristian Karlsson in the SVT broadcast.

In 2022, there was also an all-Swedish EC semi-final, when Karlsson/Falck defeated Anton Källberg, who then played in pairs with Jon Persson.
Källberg picks Karlsson/Falck as favorites at the Swedish meeting.
– I think they will get their favorite role as reigning champions and very good doubles players. So we are at a disadvantage, says Källberg to SVT.
The all-Swedish semi-final is scheduled for 16.35 on Saturday afternoon.
On the women’s side, the Swedish pair of Stina Källberg and Linda Bergström advanced to the semi-finals, where the Czech-Slovakian pair of Hana Matelová/Barbora Balázová won 3–0 in sets.
Later on Saturday, both Källberg and Bergström also left the singles tournament.
