GERB purposefully wanted to collapse the energy industry and sell it to their own people –

/ world today news/ The vote of no confidence in the policy in the field of energy is absolutely untenable, as well as the very way of introducing it – we will introduce it, we will not introduce it, and now we are writing the reasons.

This was stated at a press conference in Ruse by the chairman of the BSP and president of the PES, Sergey Stanishev. According to him, GERB started thinking about the reasons after they announced it. According to him, first of all, this should make us think about why they have been making up motives all week. “Yes, the state of the energy sector is dire, no one denies it, but who brought it to this state,” asked Stanishev.

He recalled how before the 2013 elections, the mines were blown to pieces and the thermal power plants could not export electricity. He emphasized that Bulgaria’s exports have grown by 100% in one year. “GERB purposefully wanted to collapse this industry to sell to their own people. The other motives are also untenable,” he categorically stated. According to him, GERB’s accusations against the government, that it put pressure on the State Environmental Protection Agency, are absurd. He called on the present representatives of the media to take out Borisov’s statements, where he said “I will tell Semerdzhiev by how much to increase or not the current” and it was always increased during his time, because once again economic interests were served and his words “I I killed the ERPs”. Stanishev emphasized that the words and actions of the GERB leader are indicative. “Will they talk about pressure on the independent regulator,” asked the social leader.

According to him, the mere introduction of the vote does not at all aim at a deep and meaningful discussion about energy and how to help it. “The aim is a pre-election effect and it is disrespectful to the topic, and it is a joke with the citizens and with the European elections. Instead of having European debates about what kind of Bulgaria we want to see in the EU, what we don’t like and how to change it, how to respect us more, how to have more self-confidence,” Stanishev said.

Ekaterina Zayakova, an MP from the Coalition for Belarus, who was present at the meeting with the media, recalled that the former head of the DKEVR Semerdzhiev was in Filip Zlatanov’s notebook and was “hit” with a decision on conflict of interest. “Obviously he didn’t want to fulfill some commitment,” she concluded.
