“This is the end for Bioware”: a gamer apparently shared his thoughts after playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Rumors about the upcoming game Dragon Age: The Veilguard continue to attract the attention of the community, and recently new details from one of the testers have emerged that have sparked heated discussions. Since its announcement, the project has been plagued by controversy over the game’s art style and direction, and now the tester’s claims have only added to fans’ concerns.

According to a player called Iain, he played the build of the game in 2023 and reported that the project actively includes elements of the so-called “awake culture”. He also criticized the use of modern slang, which he felt spoiled immersion and did not fit the feel of medieval fantasy. For example, a fellow Qunari immediately declares that he identifies as a “non-binary person.” The tester claims that the game’s dialogue is one disappointment after another, and the stories of some important characters from previous games are relegated to the background.

He was particularly negative about the quality of facial animation, noting that the characters look much more attractive compared to previous games in the series. Another important detail in the interview was that his feedback, including criticism on the subject of modern words and awakening elements, was not given to the developers.

We can only wait for the official release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard to see if these statements come true, or if the project will still be able to regain the trust of the fans.
