From 08:30 hoursthe activity promises a morning of fun and shared exercise. This year’s motto, #SomosUno, summarizes the essence of this conclave: the connection between people and their best friends canines, and the shared well-being that is born from this relationship.
The director of the event, Dolores Maderohighlighted: “We are a team that generates innovative and valuable proposals for the community. Our purpose is to spread commitment, love and respect for our companion animals, which brighten our lives.”
The safety of the participants is a priority for DogRun, therefore, those who register for the 5 kilometer circuit must present a medical certificate, in addition to having a veterinary certificate that guarantees the health of the dogs during the activity.
This philosophy is reflected in each edition of the event, which seeks to promote, among other things, Responsible ownership and quality of life of the dogs. Physical activity is essential for the well-being of pets, as it helps maintain an adequate weight and prevents diseases, to name a few benefits.
In this sense, DogRun offers different modalities to adapt to the needs of competitors: circuits of 1, 3 and 5 kilometers, where you can walk or jog at the dog’s pace. “DOGRUN was born from the idea of offering a unique experience where each person can strengthen the relationship with their dog,” Madero explained.
The race includes a special start for participants with different abilities, who can register for free. In addition, all registrants must present a veterinary certificate that guarantees the physical fitness of the animal, and those who opt for the 5 km circuit must present a medical certificate. This measure seeks to guarantee the safety of the participants, both human and canine, throughout the day.
DogRun promotes healthy lifestyle habits for people and dogs, highlighting the benefits of outdoor exercise as a way to improve the physical and emotional health of both, creating a space for meeting and shared well-being in each edition of the event.
Sabrina Guidi, manager of Eukanubavalued the development of the event and noted: “Our commitment is to nurture the bond between people and their dogs. We believe that quality food and physical activity are fundamental pillars for the well-being of our canine companions. DOGRUN is the perfect platform to promote this healthy lifestyle, and we are proud to be part of this initiative again.”
This year, the celebration will coincide with Mother’s Day, and surprises have been prepared for all attendees. There will be raffles, gifts and special activities for families who come to the event. In addition, the pairs of tutors and dogs chosen as DogRun 2024 Ambassadors, Clara Serino and her dog Kali, and Luciana Doeyo with Popa, will participate in the day representing the values that the initiative seeks to transmit: connection, commitment, care and healthy habits.
