How transactions from China have developed • Table.Media

In 2023, a total of 488 reports for FDI screening were submitted to the EU from 18 member states. For China the number increases slightly.

The EU last year more Chinese investments in Europe examined. This is shown by the EU Commission’s new annual report on the review of foreign direct investment (FDI) to the European Parliament. Six percent of transactions screened under the EU’s FDI screening tool last year came from China or Hong Kong. In the previous year it was 5.4 percent. China and Hong Kong will be up in 2023 Fourth place. Around 33 percent were from the USA, twelve percent from Great Britain and seven percent from the United Arab Emirates. In 2023, a total of 488 reports were submitted for screening from 18 member states, so China and Hong Kong accounted for around 30. Seven member states, namely Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Romania and Spain, accounted for 85 percent of the reports been responsible. ari
