KOVE, the Chinese manufacturer that gained global recognition by completing the Dakar Rally, is preparing to enter the Japanese market in spring 2025 with its latest creation: the 800X RALLY.
The new 800X RALLY stands out as a true rally raid machine, developed from the base 800X model but with specifications optimized for off-road use. At the heart of this motorcycle pulsates a 799cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, which develops an impressive 95 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 8.2 kgf.ma 7,500 rpm.
With a dry weight of just 179.75 kg – the lightest in its category – the 800X RALLY has notable technical characteristics: suspension travel of 270 mm at the front and 250 mm at the rear, ground clearance of 293 mm and saddle height of 895 mm. The 21-inch wheels at the front and 18 at the rear allow the installation of a wide range of enduro tires.
KOVE-JAPAN (Baton Trading), the official distributor of the brand in Japan, will be responsible for marketing both the RALLY version and the standard 800X model. Pricing has not yet been announced, but is expected to be competitive for the segment.
This launch follows the brand’s notable participation in the 2021 Dakar Rally, where it completed the route with a 450cc motorcycle, demonstrating the technological evolution and reliability of its products.
