Israel and Lebanon have been in an undeclared war since October 8, 2023, when the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah began launching missiles and drones towards communities in the north of the Hebrew State as a gesture of solidarity with the Palestinian movement Hamas, after their armed incursion into Israel, which, in turn, responded to each attack.
Tens of thousands of Israelis living in the north were displaced to other areas of the country.
The actions of both sides have been escalating, Israel has eliminated dozens of senior Hezbollah officials, including its leader, Hasan Nasrallah, in the last two months, and there are fears that the conflict could turn into an open war or even a regional.
On October 1, Israel began a ground invasion in southern Lebanon after heavy massive aerial bombardments in September, which left more than a thousand dead, including children and women, according to official Lebanese data.
