Salma‘s 55-year-old husband was charged with murder in 2018 because prosecutors believed he had strangled his wife in Åsane in April 2017.
There were several announcements. The wife had declared that she wanted a divorce. The man had gone to buy sleeping pills and a special poison, Barium azetate.
The life insurance was increased and the husband had applied for “How to get away with a murderer” the day before his wife was found dead in bed.
She had been complaining for a few days that the food tasted bitter and she was afraid that she was trying to be poisoned and that she wanted to go to the doctor.
However, the public prosecutor dropped the charges and dropped the case because several experts could not determine any specific cause of death, despite extensive investigations.
The 55-year-old man was arrested when police investigated his wife’s death in 2017. The case was later dropped. The photo shows crime scene technicians on the property.

“Regarding the cause of death, the court believes that the plaintiffs have not presented evidence that makes it clear that NN (the husband) strangled Salma,” said the unanimous decision.
The 55-year-old has previously said that he feels open to character assassination.
Salma’s sister, Ume, has continued the trial in the Hordaland District Court, which ended this spring. Here with lawyers Harald Grape (th) and Torbjørn Moldestad.
