BC Traktor’s offspring are once again in great demand these days. The German championship in the U22 age group runs in Eisenhüttenstadt until Saturday. The MV boxing association is there with a sextet and is hoping for plenty of excess luggage on the journey home. “I think three finalists and two gold medals is a realistic goal,” says coach Marcus Abramowski, who looks after the athletes on site, describing the demands.

Among others, welterweight Simon Rieth and lightweight Razmik Sargsyan, who are well known from the Schwerin Bundesliga team, represent the tractor colors.
Duo on the way to the USA
Meanwhile, on Thursday, October 17th, a duo is heading to the U19 World Cup in Pueblo, Colorado, USA. The two lightweights Penelope Grochau, currently third in the U17 European Championships, and Sebastiano Rizzo, reigning German champion in his age group, are first making a detour to Sheffield, England, where a short sparring training camp is scheduled. In a week we’ll be heading across the pond to the world title fights.
