Kobaco explained that it appears to be due to changes in weight management or living environment, such as so-called ‘low-carbohydrate, high-fat’ (low-carbohydrate, high-fat) and intermittent fasting.

The main reason for the decrease was ‘weight or blood sugar control’ (44.3%), showing that the craze for health care is spreading widely, especially among people in their 20s.
In particular, people in their 20s showed a tendency to consume low-sugar foods and make regular exercise and diet management part of their daily routine. Purchases of low-sugar drinks, low-sugar sauces, and low-sugar dessert foods were also higher than other age groups.
In addition, 59% of those aged 25 to 29, 54.8% of those in their 30s, and 52% of those in their 40s responded that they were interested in low-sugar foods and blood sugar management, showing that low-sugar foods and blood sugar management, which were previously considered to be the main concerns of the elderly, have spread to those in their 20s and 30s. 48.6% of respondents responded that they were interested in information about the food and restaurants enjoyed by the contestants, and the experience of making purchases such as searching related keywords and visiting websites after watching the program was also found to be high (51.3%).
Kobaco explained that the recent phenomenon of high reservations at restaurants run by chefs who appeared on a popular cooking competition program also appears to reflect the food culture of consumers who want to taste the food in person.
This survey was conducted online from the 13th to the 20th of last month, and the reliability was ±3.1% at the 95% level.
