Hair loss: According to a study, this drink is said to promote it

The study was based on data from 1,028 men aged 18 to 45, with the average age being 27.8 years. To obtain information about the condition of their hair as well as their eating and drinking habits, participants were asked to fill out questionnaires.

The result of the study: Men who consumed an average of one sweet drink daily were 30 percent more likely to experience hair loss than men who abstained. The sugary drinks included juices, soft or energy drinks, as well as sweetened coffee and tea.

Analysis of the data suggests that there is a possible connection between the consumption of sweet drinks and the risk of hair loss. Men who consumed more than one sugary drink daily and drank more than three liters of it weekly had a 42 percent higher risk of hair loss compared to men who did not drink sweet drinks.

The researchers suspect that the increasing consumption of sweet drinks in the male population may be linked to premature hair loss. Between 2010 and 2021, the prevalence of hair loss in men statistically increased from 21.3 percent to 27.5 percent. During this period, consumption of sweet drinks also increased, particularly among young men aged 13 to 29.
