Creativity and violence prevention came together in a drawing and painting contest organized by the Ministry of the Interior (PNC), through the Unit for the Community Prevention of Violence (UPCV). This artistic activity is part of the Yo Soy Prevention festival, designed to provide healthy activities for children and youth.
The award ceremony took place today in the “Carlos El Pescadito Ruiz” Peace Park, in zone 21. The authorities, headed by the Vice Minister of Prevention of the Mingob, Mayda de León, were in charge of presenting the awards to who the qualifying jury chose as winners. The Deputy Director General of Crime Prevention of the PNC, Pablo Rodríguez, and the General Coordinator of the UPCV, Nicolás Reanda Ajchomajay, also attended.
After the award ceremony, the public participated in recreational, recreational and artistic activities. The Festival aims to guide children and youth about the importance of preventing violence and crime. Also, influence the healthy use of free time and avoid environments that could put their integrity at risk.
