Bayonne Hospital: a new employee strike this Wednesday

The Bayonne hospital unions are calling for a new day of mobilization this Wednesday, October 16, 2024. The second since the announcement of the service reorganization project. None of the scheduled operations will be impacted but if necessary, the management of the establishment specifies that it is able to requisition staff.

At the heart of the protest, the company agreement which dates from 2002 and which is completely obsolete in the eyes of management. Unions and employees refuse to change anything. In particular, they refuse that the 30 minutes of meals and the 10 minutes of getting dressed are no longer included in their actual working time. Some professionals could also lose RTT.

On September 24, 2024, more than 300 employees, nurses, caregivers and cooks, had already gathered in the lobby of the establishment to mark their disapproval. Since then, discussions have been inconclusive. The last meeting took place this Monday.
