TORINO – They called it like this: Women and the City the festival promoted and created by the association Turin City for Women (TOxD) with the aim of promoting gender perspectives in local policies, through meetings, events and reflections to make city spaces and practices accessible, inclusive and fair. This morning there was the awards ceremony for the competition Spark Innovation (Stimulates innovation) designed by the TOxD association with the Polytechnic of Turin. A competition aimed at startup for gender innovation: a unique opportunity dedicated to business ideas under 30 with female leadership or with a focus on gender innovation to promote and support young entrepreneurs and their ideas, inspired by gender equality.
The 15 start-ups that participated. 15 participated in the competition start-up of the Piedmontese territory, among these 10 were selected by the jury who obtained a tutoring path promoted by the Polytechnic of Turin. The winner of the competition, and the recipient of the cash prize of 2,000 euros, was Pinkorad, a women’s platform that connects women to allow them to meet and tackle sections of road and routes together that they would otherwise do alone.
