Future Hamburg Talks meets… Jan Rispens, EEHH Managing Director | News

Grey, blue, green: Green hydrogen, i.e. hydrogen produced using renewable energies, is considered a key technology in the energy transition. Finally, the gas is CO2-free. Hamburg has set itself ambitious goals and wants to become the European center for green hydrogen. “This is a marathon, not a sprint,” says Jan Rispens, managing director of the Hamburg Renewable Energy Cluster. It’s about building one Hydrogen economy in the Hanseatic city, the focus is on two central infrastructure projects in the port: the Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub and the Hamburg Hydrogen Industry Network (HH-WIN). In the Future Hamburg Talk Rispens talks about the current status and reports on which other future-oriented hydrogen projects are being pushed forward from Hamburg. From October 23rd to 24th, 2024, the event will also focus on current H2 technologies and trends Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe. The leading global trade fair is taking place in Hamburg for the first time.
