Andrei Beloúsov will hold a series of negotiations with Chinese military and political-military leaders during his official visit to Beijing.
The Minister of Defense of Russia, Andrei Belousov, arrived this Monday in Beijing, capital of China, on an official visit and “will hold a series of negotiations with the country’s military and political-military leaders,” reported the Russian organization.
Belousov was received by his Chinese counterpart, Admiral Dong Jun. An honor guard and an orchestra participated in the solemn ceremony that took place near the headquarters of the Chinese Central Military Commission.

During his negotiations with the Chinese Defense Minister, Belousov stated that cooperation in the military sphere between Moscow and Beijing “is an important element to increase defense capacity and maintain global and regional stability“. “I am sure that today’s negotiations will serve to further strengthen the Russian-Chinese strategic partnership in the defense sector,” he said.
At the same time, Belousov stated that “contacts of trust between the leaders of both countries play a key role in strengthening strategic ties.”
Relations reached “an all-time high”
For his part, Dong emphasized in which relations between Moscow and Beijing “have reached an all-time high, characterized by an unprecedented level of mutual trust and deep practical cooperation, which serves as a model for relations between great powers,” according to the Global Times.
