Xelajú MC won 4-0 Communication and took the lead in the Apertura 2024 schedule, on a day where four of the six matches were played. The coach of the creams, Willy Coito Olivera, resigned from the white team after finishing the game.
Xelajú controlled the game against unknown Comunicaciones, who never found a way to respond to the game, who started to lose from minute 1. Mexican Oscar Raí put Villa Xelajú ahead with a powerful shot in the area.

Later, defender Wilson Pineda, in his attempt to clear a shot, turned the ball into the back of his own goal to make it 2-0, at 9′.
Contact saw the situation further complicated when defender Alejandro Prieto was sent off with a straight red card, following a foul on Raí Villa.
By the end of the first half, Villa got their double to make it 3-0. Quichelense striker Harim Quezada sealed the result when he scored a 4-0 goal in the 85th minute.
After the game, the coach Willy Coito announced Olivera’s retirement from the surface center.

Sometimes you don’t remember, but a lot has been achieved, and they are the main characters and I owe them everything that has been achieved as well. So I thank you all,” said Willy Coito Olivera.

At the Pensativo stadium, Antigua also won with a big score. They beat Marquense 4-2 with goals from Robinson Flores, Santiago Gómez, Selvin Sagastume and Dewinder Bradley. On the side of the lions, Rincón Teixeira and Charles Martínez scored.

Xinabajul-huehue also added three points on the day. Pablo Centrone’s team beat Deportivo Malacateco 3-1 at the Los Cuchumatanes stadium.
The Toros gave the surprise with a goal from Angel López at 17 minutes. However, Joshua Ubico, Esnaydi Zúñiga and Uri Amaral scored the goals for Huehuetecos’ 3-1 win.
In Alta Verapaz, Cobán beat Deportivo Achuapa 3-1. Sixto Betancourth put the onions to victory, but Delfino Álvarez tied before the end of the first half.
In the supporting part, Cobán sealed the victory with goals from Lus Campana and an own goal from Betancouth.
